In Visual Arts class, students will be exploring the many aspects of Art. We will be drawing, painting, printmaking, weaving, and creating mixed media projects! Every student will complete writing assignments in an Art Journal, as well as explore art history using an art textbook or Scholastic Art magazine. At least once a month, students will bring home a progress report which must be signed by a parent and returned to school. All projects will be kept at school until the Art Show at the end of the year held on "Festival of the Arts" night which coincides with "Open House."
Advaned art will be exploring advanced techniques in visual arts and will be taught by both myself and Ms. Largey over the course of the school year.
Each class has written a "Social Contract" outlining how we plan to treat each other in class. Each contract contains the word "RESPECT". Students who chose not to act in a way that shows respect for others or the teacher may be issued a "Yellow Card" or "Red Card" which must be taken home for a parent signature.
